Zoom H6

The Zoom H6 portable handheld recorder allows you to quickly record up to six simultaneous input signals regardless of your audio experience. With two interchangeable stereo microphone capsules, six universal mic/line inputs and the ability to record up to six tracks, the H6 is user-friendly and easily expandable.

Like other H-Series recorders such as the H4n Pro and H5, you can hold it in your hand, mount it on a mic stand or tripod, or attach it to your camera (a shoe mount adapter is available separately); the H6 packs an impressive array of features into its rugged rubberized body, ready to meet the diverse demands of musicians, content creators, videographers, and sound designers.

The H6 is equipped with four XLR-1/4″ combo inputs and a 3.5mm stereo mini jack input (on the XYH-6 capsule), allowing connection of condenser microphones, +4dB balanced line-level sources, or signals from unbalanced instruments with active electronics. Connect 12, 24 or 48 VDC phantom power to the XLR jacks or 2.5V plug-in power to the mini jack. Whether you plan to record studio condenser mics, signals from wireless receivers, or a combination of lapel and shotgun mics for an interview, the H6 preamps are ready to provide low noise (-120 dB EIN).

The H6 boasts recording on 6 channels at up to 24 bit/96 kHz resolution. Record all channels simultaneously or use the overdubbing function to add layers of instruments after the initial recording. Adjust levels and panning for your tracks, then use the H6’s internal mixdown function to blend six tracks into a stereo file.

Alternatively, use the H6 as a 6-in/2-out USB 2.0 audio interface up to 24-bit/96 kHz. To operate the audio interface with an iPad (requires Apple Camera Connection Kit, available separately), select USB stereo mode, which offers two channels in and out up to 16 bits/48 kHz.

The H6 has 3.5mm line and headphone mini jack outputs for simultaneously powering your camera/DSLR and a pair of headphones. Independently adjust the headphone volume with the side panel volume control. A built-in mono speaker is also available for quick playback reference.
