Tilta Hydra Articulating Car Mounting System

The Tilta Hydra Articulating Car Mounting System is a modular solution designed for flexible camera mounting on vehicles. Three 6″ electronic suction cups combined with heavy-duty articulating arms create a stable triangular support system with a total payload capacity of up to 20 kg / 44 lb, making it suitable for mirrorless cameras and compact cinema rigs.

The electronic suction cups continuously monitor vacuum pressure and automatically activate their pumps if pressure begins to drop. This makes the system easier to monitor during production and provides an additional level of security compared to conventional mechanical suction cups.

At the centre of the system is a low-profile 75mm ball head offering up to 15° of levelling adjustment. The included quick-release system supports both Manfrotto and Arca standards. Heavy-duty articulating arms provide extensive positioning flexibility, making the system particularly useful for low-profile and unconventional camera angles.

The combination of high-strength aluminium alloy and stainless steel provides substantial load capacity while keeping the system relatively compact and quick to reposition on set.

The manufacturer does not recommend using the suction cups on wrapped vehicles. Suction cups may also leave marks on certain surfaces.
