The Sony FX3 is a compact yet high-performance full-frame camera from Sony’s award-winning Cinema Line, designed specifically for filmmakers and content creators who need professional image quality and flexibility in the smallest possible package. Featuring a 10.2MP full-frame sensor (effective 12.1MP for video), it can capture impressive 4K video at up to 120 fps with 10-bit 4:2:2 sampling, opening up a wide range of possibilities for slow-motion shots and rich colour editing in post-production.

The FX3 uses the advanced BIONZ XR image processor and offers S-Log3, HLG and S-Cinetone film look profiles based on Sony VENICE professional cameras. This delivers high dynamic range and natural skin tones, ideal for filmmaking in challenging lighting conditions or for professional-level colour editing. In addition, the Dual Base ISO function helps to minimise low-light noise and maintain maximum image quality.

To ensure smooth footage, the camera is equipped with 5-axis optical stabilization (IBIS), which, together with Active Mode digital stabilization, helps to eliminate shake and shaky images. The compact body, made of magnesium alloy, features an integrated handle with XLR/TRS connectors (included) for professional audio recording. The user-friendly button layout, 1/4″-20 threaded holes directly on the body and optimal cooling placement make it easy to work in the field and on set.

The Sony FX3 supports 14+ feet of dynamic range, external 16-bit RAW output via HDMI, and offers flexible recording media thanks to two CFexpress Type A/SD card slots. Fast hybrid autofocus with sensitive on-chip phase focusing and face recognition ensure accurate focus even when shooting with shallow depth of field.
