RED SCARLET-W (Brain Only)

The RED SCARLET-W is a professional digital cinema camera that combines superior image quality, flexible modular design and exceptional price-to-performance ratio in RED’s portfolio. It utilizes a 5K RED DRAGON® sensor that delivers stunning detail, wide dynamic range and rich color reproduction with the ability to shoot up to 60 fps in full 5K resolution. Lower resolutions can take advantage of even higher frame rates (up to 120 fps in 4K, for example), opening the door to smooth slow-motion footage.

The camera uses REDCODE RAW, a highly efficient data storage format that preserves the maximum level of detail and flexibility in post-production. Thanks to its modular design, the SCARLET-W can be easily adapted to the requirements of a specific shoot – from a compact, “bare-bones” gimbal-mounted setup to a fully rigged camera with matte box, follow-focus and extended controls.

Interchangeable bayonets (e.g. EF or PL) offer compatibility with a wide range of film and photographic lenses, while integrated features such as wireless control, Wi-Fi and monitoring (combined with RED displays and accessories) make on-set organization and coordination easy. Thanks to advanced cooling and a robust design, the camera can handle the rigors of outdoor shooting.
