Panasonic LUMIX GH5

Upgraded, redesigned and packed with features, Panasonic’s Lumix GH5 mirrorless camera provides an excellent imaging platform for photographers who demand superior video and photo quality in a compact camera. At the heart of the camera is a 20.3MP Digital Live MOS sensor and a newly developed Venus Engine processor, both of which offer dramatically improved processing times over its predecessor. This allows for 4K video recording at up to 60 fps, internal 10-bit 4:2:2 recording with selected settings, Full HD video at up to 180 fps, continuous shooting at up to 12 fps and sensitivity up to ISO 25600. The camera also features built-in 5-axis sensor stabilization that can work with certain lenses and activate Dual I.S. 2 for highly effective shake correction that compensates for up to 5 stops of shutter speed. Other improvements include a faster and more accurate advanced DFD autofocus system that focuses in just 0.05 seconds, as well as 6K FOTO at 30 fps and 4K FOTO at up to 60 fps.

Along with all of these internal improvements, the body has received some significant updates. For viewing and composing images, the 0.76x OLED viewfinder and 3.2″ rotatable touchscreen have seen resolution increases to 3.68 million dots and 1.62 million dots, respectively. This will improve convenience and accuracy when shooting. The magnesium alloy body is now freeze-resistant up to 14°F as well as splash and dust resistant. Two UHS-II SD slots are now available for fast image transfer and storage. Plus, it offers both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for advanced functionality when paired with a mobile app.
