GDU 40mm f/2.8 Electronic-Only Cine Lens

At the heart of the GDU 40mm is the Canon 40mm F2.8 optical block, which has been stripped of all redundant parts and then reassembled with an armoured precision machined 7075 specification aluminium housing to military standards. The manual focus ring has been completely removed for strength and to prevent unwanted focus adjustments. All movements are controlled by internal STM motors for remote focus and aperture control. The rear is finished with a Canon EF electronic stainless steel bayonet and the front of the GDU 40mm lens incorporates a 37mm UV filter embedded in a 46mm diameter threadless protective rim. The lens offers full full frame sensor coverage in a strong, lightweight and slim design. Perfect for Red 4K, 5K, 6K and 8K cameras with Canon mount, Canon camcorders or Canon 5D and other Canon full frame or APS-C cameras, BM or Sony Nex/A7 with Canon AF adapter.
