EcoFlow RIVER 3 Max Plus 858Wh (RIVER 3 Plus + EB600)

EcoFlow RIVER 3 Max Plus is an expanded configuration of the RIVER 3 Plus portable power station combined with the EB600 Smart Extra Battery with a capacity of 572Wh. Together, the two units provide a total capacity of 858Wh, three times the capacity of the standard RIVER 3 Plus.

For film and photography productions, this configuration is particularly useful for longer shooting days away from mains electricity. It can power laptops, production monitors, video transmitters, V-Mount and NP-F battery chargers, DIT equipment, smaller LED fixtures and other production accessories.

The main RIVER 3 Plus unit provides 600W continuous AC output with a 230V / 50Hz pure sine wave. The additional EB600 battery increases runtime rather than output power, meaning the maximum continuous AC output remains 600W.

The system also features 100W USB-C Power Delivery, two USB-A ports and a 12.6V automotive output on the main unit. EcoFlow’s X-Boost mode can operate selected compatible appliances with power requirements of up to 1,200W, although the standard rated AC output remains 600W.

The EB600 connects directly to the underside of the RIVER 3 Plus using pogo-pin contacts and a mechanical locking system, eliminating the need for a separate interconnect cable. The expansion battery also features its own 140W USB-C input/output, allowing it to function independently as a high-capacity USB-C power source.

Both units use LiFePO₄ battery cells rated for approximately 3,000 charge cycles before reaching 80% of their original capacity. The modular design allows the system to be used either as the lighter standalone RIVER 3 Plus or as the full 858Wh RIVER 3 Max Plus configuration depending on production requirements.
