Canon EOS 5D Mark III

The Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR camera is a full-frame 22.3MP digital SLR offering exceptional still image and video capabilities. By integrating the new DIGIC 5+ image processor and 14-bit A/D conversion, this camera is capable of producing detailed, high-sensitivity images in low light, which is further supported by an extended ISO range of up to 102400. Image quality is further enhanced by a new 61-point high-density AF system, including up to 41 cross AF points and 5 dual diagonal AF points for sharpness. The iFCL metering works in conjunction with the AF system and uses colour information from the scene to achieve accurate exposures using the 63-zone dual layered metering sensor. HDR and Multiple Exposure modes provide greater creative options and help reduce the amount of post-production time required to produce high-quality images. The 5D Mark III is also capable of recording Full HD video with manual exposure control and at multiple frame rates, including 1080/30p and 720/60p. Still images can also be recorded at up to 6 fps.

Images can be viewed using the 3.2″ Clear View II LCD monitor with 1,040,000 dots, which offers high transparency and reflection resistance thanks to a multi-layer coating for adequate viewing in bright conditions. The Intelligent Viewfinder also integrates a superimposed LCD display providing exposure information and offering a 100% field of view.

A highly durable magnesium alloy body surrounds the components and offers enhanced dust and weather resistance. The updated EOS Integrated Cleaning system also helps reduce and remove dust inside the camera body. Some of the physical controls on the camera body are fully customizable for a more efficient workflow and comfortable handling. Support for dual CF and SD memory cards also increases the camera’s compatibility. Support is also provided for the optional Canon Wireless File Transmitter and GPS receiver for remotely recording, monitoring and sending your images.
